Sally Moments Explained.

Okay so I have had a few people ask me to lay out in plain terms what exactly a "Sally" moment is. So here goes. I hope not to offend anyone in the making of this blog, perhaps I am the only one who knows what I am talking about... (but I doubt it)
Sally moments are moments in time where the inner craziness surfaces and you can't stop it. Named solely after a woman because as women we tend to get these more often than our male counter parts, however with that being said men have "Sally" moments also, they are usually just better at keeping their craziness under the surface than us.
Ever had a day when you wake up feeling just not quite right? Where things just seem off kilter and there really isn't any good reason for this? Where the wrong look by your spouse or your kid talking too quietly can set you off into a manic craze? The knot in your stomach when your at work and all you really want to do is be home surrounded by your loved ones? Until you get there and then all you want to do is be alone? Or that moment when your trying desperately to get ahold of the one person who can help you get your crazy in check only to have them not answer your text message or phone calls until you are certain that they are dead in a ditch somewhere or buried in their back yard by their spouse?  So your imagination starts running rampant and the only visions that pop into your head are ones of utter horror? So you make the decision to try one more time to reach them before pushing the speed dial #3(the FBI headquarters in SLC- Holla to Special Agent Frank!) LOL even that made me laugh!
Anyway The moments in time where no matter what good things are happening in your life or what type of great friends and family you have don't matter because your hormones are off kilter and you can see the Crazy you just can't make it obey! These are Sally Moments!
I can personally say that my Sally moments are out of control, but I acknowledge my crazy and actually embrace it. People that know me know this, I have never pretended to not be crazy you just either accept my kind of crazy or you don't. That being said I have yet to meet a person who has managed to avoid these moments.
I honestly believe that the difference between crazy is the people you surround yourself with. I choose to be amidst people with the ability to be openly crazy also.
3 of my 4 best friends are Dudes this is not because they are without the Sally, this is just because its much funner to tease them about the Sally.. (haha just kidding).
Whats super fun about these "Sally" moments is once you know what they are you can actually laugh at them and joke around about them with your peeps. And it can also be used as a conversation icebreaker. for example here is how a typical phone conversation in the midst of a sally moment would go.
Ring Ring
Aaron: Yo What up?
Me: Dude just warnin ya I am having a severe "Sally" Moment right now.
Aaron: Come on sally pull the tampon out and get it together!
And that is a true friend!
